Stainless SteelSeries
S31803(Duplex 2205)
Overview: | The structure of 2205 duplex stainless steel consists of austenite pools surrounded by a continuous ferrite phase. It combines the favorable qualities of a ferritic alloy (stress corrosion cracking resistance and high strength) with those of an austenitic alloy (ease of fabrication and corrosion resistance). The strength is roughly double than standard austenitic stainless steels. Therefore, more and more engineers adopt duplex steel to save costs. The fabrication of duplex steel is more difficult, especially during the annealing and welding process. Strictly process control and production abilities are required to the manufacturer. |
Applications: | Flue gas desulfurization, Desalination, Oil and Gas, Food and Drink, Architecture Industries, etc. |
